He hand selects the skins for each head.
Each head is manufactured to exact specifications.
Then the mounting begins.
Sajid will mount and re-mount the head a dozen times to make sure of the proper fit and sound.
The beautiful finish on the bayan has a soft tone and is not a stark copper color.
Cushion colors and patterns may vary.
Sajid lives in a city called Hyderabad and he makes his tablas in the same city. |
