Oud, Egyptian Classic, Vine 12 String w Case
The rosettes of the three Round sound holes are rimmed with colored wood inlays. There is bracing under the soundboard. The soundboard is finished and the bridge is fixed. The variegated wood body is made with stave construction and has the classic teardrop shape. The center three staves are inlaid with vine motifs. There are twelve ebony pegs and twelve strings in six courses of two each six nylon, and six metal (silver) wound. Includes pick, extra strings and case. The case has three locks and a hand grip, vinyl outside and cloth inside.
The nut to bridge measures approximately 23.8 inches (604.5 mm). Over all dimensions are approximately 33.5 inches (850.9 mm). The body dimensions are approximately 20.5 x 14 x 7.5 inches (520.7 x 355.6 x 190.5 mm). SPECIAL NOTE; No Warranty on Strings:

manufacturers recommend that you change the strings on your instrument as soon as you receive it.
Your instrument has completed a long journey to your home.
During this time the strings WILL oxidize and this may shorten their life expectancy and may reduce their sound quality.
On occasion instruments may arrive with a broken string, therefore,
it is recommended that you purchase a replacement set of strings and consider changing your strings as soon as it arrives.
Learning to change strings should be the first lesson learned when embarking on the journey of playing a new instrument. |
