| This signature doumbek was designed by international performer and educator, Daveed Korup. Each Doumbek is hand made in the USA, where resident Potter, Bjorn Straub, maintains the details for each drum. The richness & clarity of tonal color is evident in its full-voiced doum's and crisp, bright tek's. This doumbek measures 10 1/2" in diameter by 17 1/2" in height and has a Fiberskyn head. The rich olive glaze is highly textured. If you have difficulty keeping your drum for slipping when you play, this is the drum for you. The roughly textured surface helps hold the drum still. The narrower rim on the shell makes playing teks and snaps more comfortable. |
